Easy First Date Ideas
71Usually it’s up to men to decide where to go on a first date. They do all the planning and it’s up to them to make sure things go off without a hitch. Maybe it’s a greater responsibility than what’s fair, especially considering that guys usually pay for the date too, but that seems to be the way it is. The good news is, and this is coming from a woman’s point of view, you don’t have to get too fancy when it comes to the first date. In fact, you can leave all the flowers, limousine rides, and expensive dinners for another time. In these days, most girls are looking to spend a casual time getting to know someone we’re interested in. Even online dating tips will tell you grand romantic gestures on a first date are a thing of the past, and they’re actually kind of creepy if you ask me. Here are some easy first date ideas from a girl’s point of view.
A picnic – a picnic in the park is a great way to spend a first date. And you don’t have to pack up all the food yourself. You and your lady can make a day of it by going to the supermarket and getting your food, then packing it into a basket. Consider having your picnic at the park or the beach and take advantage of the nature trails that may be available to go for a walk - it might be the perfect romantic soulmate moment. You can also combine it with a frisbee, or take your dog along to play some ball.
A cup of Coffee – this is a pretty popular date destination nowadays as “You want to go for a cup of coffee sometimes” is synonymous with asking for a first date. Going for coffee is great from a woman’s point of view because it’s low pressure and gives us a chance to talk. We like going for coffee because there’s no expectations to do anything afterwards so if things go bad we can just go home (hehe sorry but it’s true)
Arts and Crafts – consider going to a place that offers public pottery or painting. This is especially impressive if you have some degree of artistic talent. But regardless of that, it gives you and your date something fun to do while you get to know each other. Something artistic is relaxing and low impact so you don’t have to worry about being all sweaty or short of breath during your date as you would if you took her to play some kind of sport.
Visit a psychic – Keep in mind that this really only works as long as both of you look at it purely for the purposes of fun. Some people who are into this kind of thing hardcore don’t mess around with it, so you and your date will have to approach it with the right frame of mind. But finding a psychic is really easy, and getting a reading done can give you lots of stuff to talk about. You can even ask if you two are soulmates!
When thinking of a first date, you really don’t have to worry about where to go as long as you bring your personality and manners. If you are a perfect match you’ll have fun no matter what you do. And it gives you a chance to save all the huge romantic soulmate gestures for truly important dates like birthdays and anniversaries.
